Macro execution

Hi,

First I have to say that we are supper content with GemBox library and the speed we get assistance, well done!

For the matter itself, we’ve completely replaced Excel Interop with GemBox library except places where Excel files has macros. we have quiet a lot of customers that still use macros and the only way to run macro is by the Excel Interop (AFAIK). macros should be run in advanced on server side and not by user manual activation with buttons.
my question is if you have any plans to implement macro execution?

Hi Shlomi,

Unfortunately no, we currently don’t have plans for supporting macro execution.
We’ll probably add support for adding and removing macros in the next road-map.
But executing them won’t be available any time soon.

The newer versions of GemBox.Spreadsheet support reading and writing macros, see:
https://www.gemboxsoftware.com/spreadsheet/examples/vba-macros/124

Unfortunately, executing them is still not supported.
